Scandic Continental

We stayed at Scandic Continental for six nights. The location is excellent, right in the city centre and within walking distance of almost everything. The breakfast buffet is very extensive with plenty of choice, and the gym in the basement is a nice bonus. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The service at the reception was disappointing. There was very little willingness to help or think along with guests. It almost felt like you should just be grateful that you had a room. The biggest issue was housekeeping. During our entire six-night stay, our room was not cleaned once. The rubbish bin was overflowing, we had to keep using dirty towels, and the beds were never made. That is simply unacceptable for a hotel in this price range.

We visited the rooftop with high expectations and had no problem paying 170 SEK per drink, but then you also expect quality.Unfortunately we were disappointed. The drinks felt simple, were boringly presented and did not taste at all as you would expect on a rooftop in that price range. Homemade drinks can actually feel both tastier and more thoughtful. The service was also quite lame. The view is amazing, but unfortunately the rest of the experience did not live up to the price.

Reception team were very kind & cooperative especially Phillipa & Isabel but had a very bitter experience at the breakfast restaurant with Joy from the Philippines who was quite rude & looked frustrated with life!! No smile, not approachable at all!! She needs to work on her attitude in this hospitality industry
