Clarion Collection Hotel Grand Sundsvall

I have stayed at several hotels in Sundsvall, but Home Hotel Grand is in a league of its own. This was easily the best hotel experience I’ve had in the city, and I would recommend it to colleagues and friends without hesitation. The hotel is set in a beautiful, nearly 100-year-old building that used to be a cinema. It has a wonderfully genuine, historic feel to it, yet the rooms themselves are thoroughly modern and comfortable. The room was immaculate upon arrival—perfectly cleaned and well worth the price given the high quality. From the very start, the booking experience was seamless, and check-in was excellent. As a Gold member, I felt genuinely recognized, and all my membership benefits were delivered flawlessly. The front desk staff does a fantastic job and sets a welcoming tone for the entire stay. Another major highlight was the dining; both the breakfast and the dinner surpassed expectations, with great food quality and attentive service. The only small downside worth noting is that the room ventilation was a bit noisy—perhaps a byproduct of the historic building—but it didn't take away from an otherwise fantastic experience. If you are looking for top-notch service, great personal care, and an all-around excellent stay in Sundsvall, this is the place to book. I will definitely be back!

I usually like the lobby as an area to sit and relax. Now someone had hired a pianist who played loudly on a very out of tune piano. It made it painful to sit and talk in the lobby. Then the supper that was served was replaced with some kind of chicken that tasted like it came straight from a freezer bag. However, the room was as usual absolutely perfect as you always get at Home hotellem.
