Moevenpick Zurich-Airport

I have stayed at Movenpick Zurich Airport hotel several times. It was my go to hotel the night before an early morning Zurich flight. The positives - reliable airport shuttle, staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are generally quiet, good price point. The one thing that I could not over look during my recent stay is that the hotel room and the hallways are in need of a renovation or at the very least a deep cleaning. The hallway carpet is badly stained, the hotel room chair and ottoman upholstery is worn. And bathroom shower is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. The shower tile had severe mildew build up and the drain was clogged. The drain stopper was out of the drain and placed in the shower’s soap dish. Sorry to say that my recent visit will be my last.

Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The room was dark and dingy and felt poorly maintained. The pillows had visible stains, were flat and bedsheet was ripped, and the overall condition of the room was well below expectations. It did not feel clean or comfortable, and the room was simply subpar for the price we paid. Unfortunately, this was not the quality we expected, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Although I have visited this hotel several times regularly over the past years, I unfortunately cannot recommend it anymore today. The rooms have clearly aged and appear outdated. Additionally, there were various defects and signs of wear, and the television regularly had interruptions. My room was located right next to the highway and was therefore very loud, making restful sleep nearly impossible. Particularly disappointing was the handling of my complaint: I was informed that no other room was available, even though rooms were still bookable online. I was not offered a concrete solution. It's a shame, because I used to enjoy being a guest at this hotel. However, due to this experience, I will not be coming back.
