Radisson Blu Hotel - Zurich

Booked this hotel as we had a morning flight and definitely paid for the ease of access to the airport. In this sense, the location was good. However, if you don’t need this I’d advise staying elsewhere as it’s excessively priced for room only. Positives: the bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quiet. Negatives: breakfast was very expensive so didn’t bother with it. Multiple emails are sent trying to upsell breakfast, better room etc in days prior to check in. Staff were not the most friendly and welcoming, although they did sort out a change of room when our initial room smelled bad.

A disappointing hotel stay, the rooms are so dark and after we finally got the lights to stay on, apparently a problem with some rooms and it required both cards to be in the slot by the door, which meant we had to go to reception to get another card. Why that wasn’t communicated at check-in I’ll never know. It’s a very dark and dreary hotel with lots of black. Probably newly decorated by some young architect with 20/20 vision.

Perfect hotel for departure the next morning, even though the access from the train has become a bit more cumbersome… Very straightforward booking and check-in/check-out procedure. Always friendly and very dedicated staff. Our favorite hotel at Zurich Airport.
