Gletschergarten

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The setting is magnificent, whether inside or the view that was offered to us from our large terrace: a view of a glacier in the background between two immense rocky massifs. The geraniums that adorn the balconies are magnificent. The room is very comfortable, the bathroom as well, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The hotel is located a little higher up than the rest, which offers a breathtaking view and much more quiet than in the center of the village (a 5-minute walk away). Several parking spaces are offered to guests, as well as 3 functional charging stations (Tesla) upon request, which is very convenient (unlimited charging package for an extra fee, but at an advantageous rate). I recommend this establishment without hesitation, where I hope to return very soon (and perhaps in the winter season).

Our stay at Hotel Gletschergarten in Grindelwald, Switzerland for our 25th wedding anniversary was wonderful! My wife commented multiple times on the cleanliness of the floors, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and the view of the mountains from our room was breathtaking. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

It’s a very comfortable hotel in a fantastic location and wonderful balconies. Our room had a great view of the glacier and the waterfalls coming off it. The meals were very good. The owner’s sons own the hotel next door and we did a fine dining meal with 17 courses and it was great. It’s a short walk to the Grindelwald First lift and the bus to the Terminal Station (the other lifts) stopped 15 meters from the hotel. It’s not fancy but solid. The sign on the wall says”Typically Swiss” and that is correct. Grindelwald is one of the best places we have visited anywhere.
