Hotel Blumlisalp

I felt welcome from the moment I walked in the door for my week of hiking in and around Kandersteg. The hard working staff sought out my needs and left me feeling as though I were a guest in their own home. Half-board menu plan was easy and the food was terrific. Local Intel and hiking advice was spot on. The location is perfect. The hotel is immaculately clean. If you want deferential service and crystal chandeliers, go someplace else. If you want true hospitality and pride of place in a warm and inviting hotel, the Bluemlisalp is ideal.

the parking is paid, so we did not book a table for the evening, very bad reception. We will not hold this Pension for another occasion because of the welcome. Avoid it. Choose another warmer Inn in the area and there are many more

Where the hotel is situated Nice balcony with a great view of the mountains, soothing bird sounds, and a bus stop that is conveniently located (free travel with hotel city card). lovely breakfast and spacious room. (Alarmingly, another private bed) neighbouring sites, to name a few Lake Oeschinen, the tobogun run, the train station and the bus stop next to the hotel are all eight minutes' walk away.
