Artemis

Stayed 2 days as a couple, outdoor work that woke us up several times. Traces of toothpaste on the sink on arrival. In addition, the shower gel in very small quantities for 2 people, which leaves something to be desired... Finally access to the room could be better indicated, without any staff to refer to for help. Also parking was expensive (30 F for 2 nights) and coming out projectiles of pebbles projected on us because of the work, not very nice. Finally, I think the room was too expensive compared to the services offered! Fair experience.

We stayed in the hotel 5 days between Christmas and New Year's, so admittedly during the most expensive time of the year, with our 2 children. But essentially what we got for 400 CHF/night were 4 beds and 2 old, partially damaged bath rooms. The "new easy stay concept" basically means there is no breakfast on site (except hot water, a few tea bags and instant coffee powder" and guests need to bring their own. Reception is mostly deserted. And there is no room service either (officially after 3 days they clean the room - but ours wasn't really cleaned, only beds were made from what we could tell). On the positive side, rooms are spacious enough and the view from the balcony is very nice. I found this review below from 2016 which basically is even more true now than 5 years ago - this hotel really needs a brush-up. "Overall this little place seems to lack someone to care about it. The remodeling kept the same tired 70's era faux-antique, whitish-brownish furniture. While the better rooms have much-needed extra space, even these were mostly people-boxes. Not charming. Staff was minimally engaged. As too often in Switzerland, relatively high cost, minimal service for now substandard furnishings and overall design." (Traveller from 2016.)

Stayed for 3 nights in Sept 2019 for a walking holiday. Artemis was booked at the last minute as most other hotels were full (there was an event the weekend we were visiting) and was not my first choice. However our stay was great. We had a superior room with a large balcony and view up to the glacier. It was clean, comfy and well equipped. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful and we enjoyed being able to make hot drinks throughout the day in the lobby. Would certainly stay again.
