Das Hotel Sherlock Holmes

The hotel is centrally located, and even from the first floor, the room offers a fantastic view of the Reichenbach Falls. However, the hotel is showing its age, including an original bathroom from the 1970s with a bathtub, worn furniture, and soundproofing issues. The staff is friendly, understands, and speaks only broken German. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by a clump of hair in front of the bathroom as well as short black hairs under the bed. The provided bath towels are so old that they are already fraying at the edges. A second pillow is ready in the closet, but without a cover. One even had a makeup stain on the side.... Breakfast is included and can be taken in the dining room between 7 AM and 9 AM. Various breads, croissants, spreads, two types of toast, sliced cheese, salami, various types of yogurt, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, white beans in tomato sauce, fruit juices, cold milk, and canned fruit salad are available. Hot drinks of your choice can be ordered from the staff.

A lucky find. Booked at the last minute, and was delighted to learn that the restaurant served Indian food. The Lamb Rogan Josh was very nice, maybe not to Indian standards, but excellent for Swiss Indian food. Certainly will return.

Six of us have just enjoy a fabulous stay at Sherlock Holmes Hotel , The reception girl was awesome with the best customer service . So helpful The food also fabulous . What more can I say to compliment on our stay . The hotel is also so very clean which means a lot .
