Gasthof Raben

Nobody available at check-in, key was simply left at a desk with a sticky note attached. Upon entering room we ran into a young couple who already unpacked. We asked for a refund via email as nobody was available in person but hotel refuses. Terrible!

Very basic and though lower priced than accommodation in Stein am Rhein it is not worth the price. Everything was just so so. We cannot comment on service since we hardly saw anyone during our stay. It is OK to stay for a night if no rooms are available elsewhere.

We stayed here to have cheaper hotel close to Lake Constance and to do a quick trip to Stein Am Rhine. We ended up with a great room and friendly people. The restaurant in the building is great and there is a bar in the cellar but not noisy at all and wouldnt even know its there. There is a beautiful town 1 mile away called Stein Am Rhein which was amazing. The lake is only 20 minutes away.
