Location of the hotel is great for a short stay. Entry to the cross-country ski trail; 5 minutes on foot, Titlis valley station 12 minutes on foot, Engelberg town centre 12 minutes on foot. For transfers to the cable car there is also a shuttle. I had booked a single room, this was then very small and with little daylight and storage facilities. The decor has already come of age, at the same time somewhat "cult". The open fireplace was my favorite spot in the evening. Nice job. Motivated staff, very flexible and always helpful. Without exception. Somewhat annoying that there is also a charge for parking. I strongly recommend using the sauna. Although this also comes with an extra charge, it is worth it. Private use of a small sauna with relaxation area and Jacuzzi. Real wellness feeling. Definitely recommended. Food and drinks in the middle range for Swiss standards. Some limited offer for vegans, but worked in the end every night. Bench lialp, I'll be back.

We stayed here as a three generation family and had the most wonderful holiday. They staff were kind and welcoming and the rooms clean and comfortable with fabulous views s down the valley and across to snow capped peaks. Continental breakfast was plentiful and tasty with good coffee and fresh breads, meats, cheeses, yoghurts cereals and fresh fruit salad daily. The ski shuttle bus was easy to arrange at a time to suit us. The non skiers enjoyed river walks, shops in town including well stocked coop and the nearby sports centre and its excellent cafe. The sports centre is 5mins walk from the hotel and you get a discount if you scan the QR code at the hotel for a ‘guest pass’. They have a big gym, ice rink, curling rink, huge climbing wall, tennis badminton and pickleball courts. Evening meals were very good with a good selection of wines. Special thanks to Matt for his wonderful friendly and professional table service. All ages from 9-80 in our party enjoyed their stay - thank you to all the staff.
