Sunstar Boutique Hotel Albeina Klosters

Beautiful place, food was good, free mini bar, friendly staff. Unfortunately because the hot weather, flies everywhere in the restaurant and we have to kill a dozen every night in our room before we able to sleep. 🙁, don't go there in the summer.

We stayed with the family for a short trip at Sunstar Klosters and had a room (405) with 2 extra beds. These were super comfortable and you still had plenty of space. The room had everything you need. The minibar was free. Especially great was the view! We had booked half board. Breakfast was very good and there was everything from sausage, cheese, cereal to fruit. Fresh egg dishes can be ordered a la carte. The only criticism here is that it was very hectic. The service staff was slightly overwhelmed and annoyed and patchy towards us several times. In the evening there was a multi-course menu with choice. This one was outstanding! For children there is a great children's menu. There's another Chäs Stuba with fondue. We did not visit these. In the house there is a small wellness area with pool. This one was very cold. There is a shuttle service to the lift. This worked out very well. The driver was friendly. Maybe it would just be nice if this one drove more often. Alternatively, you can reach the town by bus. On foot you need at least 1/2 hour here. But the train station is also on the doorstep. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. Also price/performance have fit. To notice that the house also allows dogs. Unfortunately, during our stay there were dogs that barked very loud both late in the evening and early in the morning. This was a little disturbing.

We had a really good holiday staying at Sunstar Hotel Klosters Switzerland. I know it was their low season but this must rate as one of the quietest hotels we have ever stayed in, not even a noise from closing doors. Our room was very well furnished, beautifully clean and had a balcony that looked out along the valley. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and we had good choice at breakfast. As we were on a half board stay we chose our evening meal at breakfast from a varied menu. The food was always beautifully cooked and presented. The hotel is a convienient short walk from the station so we were able to use the Davos/Klosters Card which gave us free local rail travel and discounted cableway travel, which certainly enhanced our holiday. In summary, yes we would certainly return and plan to do so again soon.
