Location is about 3 hours from zurich airport. The drive to the hotel is fantastic with some amazing views once you hit the mountains. The hotel does not disappoint. All the staff were great and always willing and able to attend to your needs etc. The restaurant is great and breakfast is super. A wonderful start to the day and there is no problem if you need food packed for your journey for the day. Excellent....worth more than 5 stars.

A truly exceptional stay. The room was spacious, elegant, and extremely comfortable, with a wonderful bed that made it very easy to relax after a long day exploring the region. The breakfast was genuinely exquisite. The pastries tasted as though they had come straight from a fine patisserie, and the beautiful view from the breakfast room made the experience even more memorable. It was one of the best hotel breakfast spreads I have experienced anywhere in Europe. The hotel is also extremely convenient for the train station, particularly if you are arriving or departing on either the Glacier Express or the Bernina Express. The included mountain excursion pass was a fantastic benefit for someone like me who wanted to experience as much of the surrounding landscape as possible. During my stay, I visited four of the area’s major mountain destinations: Corvatsch, Piz Nair, Muottas Muragl, and Diavolezza. The proximity of the hotel to the train station made this effortless, as I could leave my room and be on the platform within minutes. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. It is genuinely difficult to find any flaws.

Grace La Margna, St. Moritz – Review Grace La Margna is a solid luxury property that successfully blends historic charm with contemporary design. Following its extensive renovation, the hotel offers elegant interiors, high-quality finishes, and a refined atmosphere throughout. The guest rooms are beautifully appointed, featuring luxurious Frette bed linens and Aesop bathroom amenities. While Aesop is a respected brand, a property positioned at this price point could justify offering an even more premium luxury cosmetic line. The hotel’s location, at the lower end of St. Moritz, provides convenient access to the train station but comes with a compromise. Guests staying on the first floor should be aware that mature trees obstruct much of the mountain and lake views. Service was consistently courteous, professional, and well-trained. Staff members were attentive throughout our stay and reflected the standards expected of a luxury hotel. The wellness facilities are another highlight. The spa is attractive and relaxing, while the indoor pool and sauna facilities are excellent and provide a wonderful place to unwind after a day in the mountains. While the spa, pool, and sauna facilities are excellent, the fitness center is a notable disappointment. Given the hotel’s size, positioning, and nightly rates, the gym is simply too small and offers limited space and equipment. Guests expecting a comprehensive fitness facility from a luxury property in this price category may find it underwhelming. Dining was equally impressive. The Swiss restaurant Stuvetta serves outstanding cuisine, although prices are undeniably on the high side. Breakfast featured an excellent buffet with high-quality products and a generous selection. Areas for Improvement One disappointment is the hotel’s loyalty program situation. Grace La Margna is no longer affiliated with Hyatt. While it remains part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) and can be booked through Hilton, the number of Hilton Honors points required for even standard rooms is exceptionally high and difficult to justify. As a result of the end of its Hyatt partnership, even World of Hyatt Globalist members should not expect any recognition or elite benefits. Privileges such as complimentary breakfast, room upgrades when available, or the valuable late checkout benefit are no longer honored, which is a significant drawback for loyal Hyatt guests. Room rates now begin at well over $1,000 per night for entry-level accommodations. At this price, guest expectations naturally rise, and there are a few aspects where the hotel falls short. American travelers should be aware that the hotel’s climate control system is not a traditional air-conditioning system. During the summer months, the preset temperature may not cool the room sufficiently for guests accustomed to colder indoor temperatures. Finally, communication prior to arrival could be improved. We received a pre-arrival email inviting questions and requests, which we promptly answered, but unfortunately never received a response. Overall Grace La Margna is a beautifully renovated hotel with elegant accommodations, excellent dining, a relaxing spa, and polished service. While its location, loyalty program changes, climate control, pre-arrival communication, and the loss of Hyatt elite recognition leave room for improvement, it remains one of the stronger luxury options in St. Moritz. Provided the rates align with your expectations, it offers a comfortable and refined stay in one of Switzerland’s most prestigious mountain destinations.
