Had horrible massage treatment from dark curly haired woman at the hotel spa. Think her name was Katie. She pushed her boney fingers like iron nails in my flesh with so much force. She must be so angry person I think. Or she is deaf or brain dead because nothing I said went in her brain. She kept talking about some stupid psychotherapy that she does but who wants therapy with deaf person. Never had such awful massage from anyone. Katie has no experience of listening or sympathy of trouble her client already have or problem she gives after treatment. I don't recommend Katie to my enemies

Cosy, genuine and a very friendly and helpful staff! Had a nicely furnished room with a view over town and mountains. And extra plus for a great breakfast and a relaxing lounge. I will definitely stay here again!

Stayed with my wife for one night for skiing in Engelberg. While check in was somehow special but at least charming, the rest of the hotel was definitely not! It is simply old and - which no images published on online portals or the hotel website illustrate adequately from my point of view - needs severe renovation. For instance and just to mention a few of the flaws, the toilet from the sixties in our room was so small that I couldn’t find proper space to turn around. Also the TV wasn’t adequately fixed so that the screen was hanging down as soon as turned towards the bed - by the way, the only place to sit and watch it. In total, I won‘t come back despite the friendly service.
