Nice clean room. No air conditioning as is common for Europe but our room had a fan. Easy check in with recommendations on what we “must see and do”. Breakfast was lovely and leisurely. The hotel had a luggage locker we used after we checked out. My husband had his work computer and hesitated to leave it in a public locker but Ivana at the front desk kindly locked the bag in the office while we went off to explore-we were very thankful!

Never, ever stay at this hotel or any European hotel lacking air conditioning in the summer. The "caring" advice to keep windows, blinds, and curtains closed and to use the provided floor fans is thoroughly unhealthy and unhelpful. My room is well over 40+ without any air circulation. And for this I've paid $400+ per night. Avoid this and other similar hotels without air con. Location doesn't come close to compensating for this experience.

Hotel Central Luzern is in a great location for exploring Lucerne. It is close to the train station as well as the Chapel Bridge. There are many restaurants in the area. Our room was a "double room cosy". It was cozy but adequate. The bathroom was small, clean, and functional for one person. The one problem I encountered was with the hair dryer. You had to squeeze the handle with just enough pressure to make it run. Otherwise, it would turn off. I asked for a replacement and was told all of their hair dryers functioned that way. The breakfast room was open for our use all day, with coffee, water, and tea available. We enjoyed sitting on the small balcony accessible from the breakfast room. The breakfast offerings were delicious. No hot items were offered, other than toast, which you could make for yourself.
