Good Night Inn

Right in the middle of Brig – and you can tell! 😉 The hotel is located right in the middle of Brig. Anyone who gets a room facing the street gets the city life included for free. 😂 Sleeping with the window open? Rather difficult. The entrance area is spacious and makes a good first impression. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the rooms. Our double room had two separate beds – albeit with a rather creative layout: One bed was 140 cm wide, the other just 90 cm. Why? That will likely remain the hotel's secret. 😉 The bathroom has seen better days. The shower faucet was broken, and it seems they also opted for movement when it came to the toilet paper: It was hanging on the other side. So, either have a long arm or think carefully beforehand about whether you really need to use the toilet. 😂 Anyone expecting a high level of comfort or culinary highlights here should perhaps lower their expectations a bit. Unfortunately, the food was more reminiscent of cafeteria food—specifically on a day when the cafeteria itself didn't feel like it. 😬 There was one small highlight, however: There is a beautiful model train in the basement. 🚂 It was actually worth seeing and provided a conciliatory moment. Conclusion: Certainly an option for a short stay in the middle of Brig if location is more important than comfort. However, anyone who values cozy rooms, functioning equipment, and good food should perhaps keep looking a little longer.

We spent a week at the hotel. Greeting very nice, short orientation, room clean and quiet - everything was great. We had booked half-board, the four-course meal was very good, attentive and very friendly service, there was nothing to complain about. In the morning there was a crowd at breakfast because on some days 2 tour buses with around 80 guests were at breakfast. A positive point to mention is the hotel's own BLS model railway layout. We also enjoyed the free city tour with the little tourist train. The car can be parked for free in the hotel's own underground garage. Walking time to Brig train station is around 8 minutes.

The Good Night is a typical bus tour hotel. The rooms are functionally furnished. There is a television, but a coffee machine or tea kettle is not provided. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is simple but sufficient. Several types of bread and rolls are offered, including sliced bread (but no toaster), as well as cold cuts, cheese, and jams. The coffee comes from two fully automatic coffee machines. During our stay (3 nights), a dinner was also included each time. The quality and taste ranged from very good (last evening) to horrendous (second evening). The hotel is in the middle of Brig, and the city center / pedestrian zone are approx. 200 m away. You can stay at the hotel for a few days if you don't have high expectations.
