Stay away. Particularly disappointing customer service and no flexibility, even in the low season. Despite a medical certificate justifying the inability to travel, the hotel refused any postponement or commercial gesture, strictly hiding behind the conditions of a "non-changeable" rate. A policy applied without any consideration for the human situation, even though a compromise would have clearly been possible. Very bad experience and customer service that I do not recommend. Avoid this hotel. Extremely disappointing customer service and absolutely no flexibility, even during the low season. Despite providing a medical certificate confirming that travelling was impossible, the hotel refused any change or goodwill gesture, strictly hiding behind the “non-changeable” rate conditions. A policy applied with no consideration for the circumstances, despite the fact that a reasonable compromise could clearly have been found. Very poor experience and customer service that I cannot recommend.

Because of bad weather and the resulting lack of hiking opportunities, we spontaneously looked for a wellness alternative in the immediate vicinity and stumbled upon this gem: The smallest of three thermal baths in Leukerbad with a very special history that is still palpable and tangible today. Originally, this thermal bath was part of the poorhouse with a bathhouse built in 1865. The thermal bath is supported today by a foundation and works together with several social institutions. At the time of our stay, a group of visually impaired people and a disabled sports group were guests with us. We were very impressed by how naturally and well inclusion works in Switzerland. The thermal bath has 5 pools and 5 saunas; one of the pools borders directly on the pedestrian zone without any privacy screen, but the Swiss have no qualms about that either. Also, there is no need for doors or fences to protect the thermal bath grounds from uninvited guests. The hotel room left nothing to be desired, the cuisine of the in-house restaurant is excellent, as is the purely Valais wine list. The basic orientation of the cuisine is vegetarian, without meat and fish lovers missing out. The entire staff is exceptionally friendly and strives to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The weather then even turned good and allowed for the (steep) ascent to the Gemmi Pass with an impressive Alpine panorama. The subsequent "soaking" was all the nicer afterwards. We like to think back on the stay and will certainly be happy to return.

We stayed a few days in a Junior suite at the “Therme 51” hotel. Spacious room, the hotel's thermal area is very nice. Good breakfast and really friendly staff. I recommend it!
