I splurged on the Monte Rosa during our 18 day trip through northern Italy and Switzerland, and am so glad I did. What a delightful hotel, what nice young people working there, what a great place to stay. If you want a relaxed but refined atmosphere, the Monte Rosa is the place to stay. The hotel provides luggage transfer from the station, and the day before we arrived I wrote to advise what train we would be on. Tony was there waiting for us, dressed sharply in a stylish suit, and loaded our bags into the electric cart. We told him we would walk the few short blocks to the hotel, and when we got there he had already placed the bags in our room. It was drizzling when we checked out and we rode with Tony and our luggage back to the station and afterwards my wife commented, "What a nice young man." Our room was immaculate, with a sitting area, a comfortable bed and dual bathroom sinks. We were only in Zermatt for one night before riding the Glacier Express and I think the Monte Rosa was the prefect choice. It wasn't cheap, but it was well worth the cost.

We absolutely loved our short stay in Hotel Monte Rosa in Zermatt. The location was perfect. The room was large, beautiful, comfortable with a great bathroom. There is no bad view from this location. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. It included a great breakfast as well as access to the spa at Cervin Palace which we enjoyed - great hot tub! Our only regret was that we only planned one night here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We absolutely loved our stay at Monte Rosa. Everything about this hotel feels thoughtful, elegant and genuinely welcoming. Our room was huge, beautifully appointed and incredibly comfortable — the kind of room you actually look forward to coming back to after a day in the mountains. Breakfast was superb, the service was exceptional, and the whole hotel has such a lovely atmosphere: elegant and refined, but warm and never overly formal. And here’s what really says it all: we also stayed at Monte Rosa’s sister hotel, the 5-star Mont Cervin Palace. Both are wonderful, but if we had to choose, we would pick Monte Rosa. There was just something about its character, atmosphere and the way we were looked after that we preferred. I’m usually pretty good at finding something to complain about 😂 but honestly… I can’t fault this hotel. Everything was just right. We’d happily come back to Monte Rosa anytime — and that, for us, is the best review of all. ❤️
