Testa Grigia

The hotel is located right in the center of Zermatt and is within walking distance. It was quiet at night despite the hustle and bustle in Zermatt. The reason the hotel only receives three stars is that the bedding smelled. It smelled like someone who smokes cigars or a pipe. That was unpleasant.

Not very impressed. Man serving at reception seemed to struggle to be civil. Room was large with plenty of space. First place I have stayed for over 20 years that doesn’t even have a mini fridge. Shower was weird and you had to hold the shower with one hand the whole time or turn it off while you washed. I also had to plug a drill hole that was in the shower recess to the outside with soap. Very strange and disturbing. Might have just been a lazy tradie and nothing sinister but we weren’t taking that chance.

Clean, friendly, quiet. Didn't even realize there was anyone else staying in the hotel until we saw them at breakfast, that's how quiet it is in the hotel. Good location for exploring Zermatt. Breakfast was included and it was pleasing, tasty and fresh.
