Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic

The hotel overall is in a great location and is nice enough for the general price range. However they are extremely liberal with what a "partial lake view" from the suite we booked is; the view was about the same as a backstreet (see attached photo). We ended up never using the "view" or balcony because it was pointless. The trees have completely blocked out the view at this point (likely from growing since designated a partial view?) and the rest was covered by tents. Felt solidly duped upon arrival for having paid a large chunk more for a better room with a supposed view when booking. No way management does not know this. We were there during the June/July heatwave. This hotel cannot handle heat; the air conditioning fought to keep things even semi-practical at night let alone during the day. Getting to where people jump into the lake was also fairly challenging to cool off. Most places along Lake Zurich have a small dock or similar; nothing here. Likely will pass and stay another place on the lake in the future.

This was our third visit to the hotel and again everything was excellent. The weather was fantastic during this stay and we were able to eat on the terrace of the restaurant. The views of the lake, mountains and sunset were unforgettable. We love this hotel and we hope to return in the not too distant future!

The Swiss Majestic Hotel in Montreux is in a fantastic location, with beautiful views and easy access to everything Montreux has to offer. The hotel is nicely decorated, with a stylish and comfortable feel throughout. Our room was very quiet, and we slept well, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The lake views are definitely a highlight. One small point to be aware of is that some of the balconies are quite small and are shared with the neighbouring room, so privacy can be limited depending on the room. Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful hotel with a great location, lovely views and a peaceful atmosphere.
