Movenpick Lausanne Hotel

Nice hotel by the waterfront. Lucky to snag a view room for the 2 sunny days our tour group booked for us. Room spacious w/ aircon and window sill seating, basic necessities present, comfy bed, spacious bathroom, coffee maker, tea kettle and mini fridge. Their huge breakfast buffet is awesome. Located by bus stop and Metro train, free pass issued by hotel. Coop and Migros grocery nearby. We found a wonderful authentic Vietnamese restaurant across the street, HoiAn BBQ. Highly recommend hotel.

Fantastic hotel , best location near the lake. Very efficient service and beautiful rooms facing the lake. Must stay here for best breakfast in toen and enjoy the hospitality.

We stayed as a family at the Mövenpick Hotel Lausanne for 3 nights, occupying two rooms including a Suite. Our experience was deeply disappointing and does not correspond in any way to the standards expected of a 4-star establishment in the Movenpick chain. Major hygiene defects: The Suite was in an unacceptable state of disrepair and unsanitary conditions: very significant mold on the joints and ceiling of the bathroom, a water leak, exposed TV cables, and furniture damaged by humidity. The photos attached to this review speak for themselves. Added to this is the poor soundproofing on the lake side, which is a problem in summer because there are many activities at the port. It was impossible to sleep the first night. Deplorable dispute management: Following our report, we received no direct attention. The team approached us on the last day but without offering any solutions. It seems the strategy is to talk to the customer without taking action. Seeing this, we asked to speak with the General Manager. But he did not take the trouble to call us to discuss it. The establishment simply unilaterally credited ALL loyalty points representing a tiny fraction of the stay as a final settlement, which is ridiculous for a 3-night stay in two rooms, one of which was unsanitary and poorly soundproofed. A structural problem acknowledged by management: The General Manager even publicly acknowledged right here, on July 13th, in response to another guest who experienced the same inconveniences, that "areas of the hotel require significant investment" and that a "complete renovation project" was expected to bring the hotel up to Mövenpick brand standards. It is regrettable that local management refuses to commercially accept the consequences of this underinvestment for the impacted guests. In short, this hotel is not at the level of a 4-star hotel, and even less so at Movenpick standards (the one in The Hague is excellent and cheaper).
