Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay at the Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic. The location is wonderful, offering a beautiful view of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman). Parking was convenient; we parked directly across the street at the train station for 2 CHF/hour (or a maximum of 40 CHF/24 hours). This rate aligns with standard hotel parking fees but offers better value. Since you only pay for the time parked, you save money when taking the car out for day trips to places like Gruyères, whereas hotels typically charge a flat daily rate regardless of car use. Our room (106) had a nice view through the trees of Lake Geneva. It was a spacious room with a comfortable, king-sized bed and a nice bathroom with plenty of counter space and two sinks; however, the bathroom had notable design flaws. The fixed glass panel did not fully seal the tub enclosure causing water to leak onto the floor and the shower drained so slowly that water pooled at our feet. These drainage and leakage issues pose safety hazards. Additionally, guests with limited mobility should request an accessible room, as showering requires stepping over a high bathtub rim. The breakfast was wonderful, which was complimentary for us as Titanium Elite members. The breakfast room also had a beautiful view of the lake. I give this hotel 4.5 stars due to the shower issues. Nonetheless, we would stay here again, though, I would just make sure to get a room with a better draining shower. I don't think the fixed shower panels are correctable without a bathroom renovation.

Excellent hotel with great location. The rooms were very nice, perfectly maintained. If you are driving, there is an easy parking garage across the street, or the Montreux train station is also across the street.

Great location, direct access to the train station. Beautiful views from the room. Decent breakfast but view is amazing. No ac in the lobby - room ac was fine. Very nice and friendly bell boy.
