I stayed in the hotel in June when the outside temperature was about 23°C. When I entered my room, the air conditioning was already on, set to the minimum temperature, and the ventilation was at maximum flow. The sun having shone all afternoon, the temperature in the room was about 25°C despite the air conditioning. I learned from the reception that the air conditioning only worked when the outside temperature reached 25°C. In other words, when the outside temperature is 24°C, the room temperature is also at least 24°C, which, according to my criteria, is very uncomfortable. Furthermore, by opening the window, the nearby nightclub can be heard. It's a shame because the hotel would be pleasant if it were possible to sleep there under good conditions, especially when you have to get up at 6:00 the next morning for work. I gave a rating of 3, but honestly, the goal (to deposit myself) is not achieved.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations for its price point. It may not be a luxury stay, but it is exponentially nicer than comparable hotels, primarily due to its exceptional value and quality service. Here’s why it performs so well above its category: Outstanding Staff: Every interaction with the employees, from check-in to maintenance, was fantastic. The staff makes you feel right at home. Special recognition goes to Nashir, Dominique, and Tom for their outstanding service at the bar and elsewhere; they truly embody the "Cheers" atmosphere, remembering faces and making every guest feel like a local. Immaculate Rooms: The rooms are incredibly clean—a major standout. I was comfortable walking around barefoot, a rarity in US hotels where my feet usually get dirty quickly no matter the hotel's supposed rating. While the synthetic bedding options aren't a high-end luxury, they are perfectly fine and contributed to a great stay. Kudos to the excellent, though unknown, cleaning staff! Delicious Dining & Bar: Whether it’s breakfast, dinner, or a quick bite at the bar, the food is excellent and diverse. This week I was treated to unique options like wild boar and venison, which were fantastic. The bar staff creates a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that makes it a pleasure to stop in after a long day. Perfect Location for Travelers: The location is ideal, especially for airport access. Bus 50 provides an easy 8-minute ride to or from the airport, with the bus stop mere steps from the lobby door. This line also conveniently connects to bus 36 for easy travel into downtown Basel. For business travelers near the airport, the convenience is unmatched. I will definitely be returning to this local Basel gem!

We found the service at this hotel was excellent. British Airways cancelled our flight at the last minute and we stayed here whilst we waiting for our next available flight. The staff could not have been more helpful, mitigating a stressful situation for 4 pensioners! We must give a special mention to Yolande who looked after us and could not have been more professional, helpful and friendly which was much appreciated and reflected very well on the hotel as a whole.
