Radisson Blu

I used to stay at this hotel in the past but I got tired of the arrogantly high prices, no free breakfast, I never received a suite upgrade, and after a while the rooms were starting to age.  So I eventually switched my business to the less convenient Hilton nearby.  Recently Hyatt opened Hyatt Place and Hyatt Regency at the airport, causing the prices at Radisson Blu to drop because they no longer have a monopoly, in addition they recently renovated their rooms, and I also have the revamped Radisson VIP status so I wanted to give this hotel another chance.  Breakfast was free as VIP guest but it was nothing to write home about, and they are still not giving suite upgrades to VIP despite having availability at the time I checked in, unlike HR and Hilton which both give suite upgrades to elites of the loyalty program so Radisson Blu is not competitive in that regard.  If for my dates HR is not too overpriced then it's the best in Zurich airport, or if being on a budget I would rather stay at Radisson via shuttle bus (not Radisson Blu). And Hilton is still better than Radisson Blu for me, Hyatt Place as well because it's more modern. So while Radisson Blu is not bad, nonetheless I will put it back on the back burner as far as I am concerned.

We stayed for a family trip back to Japan. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good. The staff team was very helpful when we wanted to weigh our luggage.

There were many good hotels to pick from in Zurich. I chose this one specifically because we had a early flight and I was also able to pick a room with a view of the airport runway which my son loved. The check in was efficient, 3 elevators so we never had to wait. The breakfast was amazing! The breakfast buffet had several kinds of breads, juices, eggs, coffee types, we loved it. This hotel is attached to the airport and you go underground to get to the train station. It is a 10 minute train ride to central Zurich. My son loved how this hotel had a fitness room and my husband loved that there was an ice maker in our hallway, luxury! We all thought the room was fantastic, so spacious! Big dining/living area with a big window view of the runway. The bathroom was very spacious with two sinks and a separate shower and bath tub. Our bedroom also had a great view. This hotel was definitely on the pricey side, not so great. But it was clean, convenient and had all the amenities we wanted.
