Hotel Restaurant Helvetia

Well situated and the attic suite very spacious. Friendly and efficient staff. Dinner in restaurant was excellent and very good continental breakfast in bar. Biggest problem was lack of proper air conditioning combined with very noisy trams. We chose to keep a window open rather than suffocate in the heat but slept only fitfully due to the noise of trams and other vehicles. Lightning was also poor. We would go back, but only in the winter when we could shut all the windows.

One of Zurich's best-kept (design) hotel secrets. Central location and friendly staff, and I had a super cute and very clean room. Worth mentioning the AC, which made the hot summer night a lot more bearable. There's a very good restaurant with bar in the same building. Very reasonable rate for Zurich.
