Moon Lake Hotel

The hotel was located on the corner of an intersection along the main street, less than 5 minutes from the station (Hou Zhan). My room was on the 10th floor, but it faced the main street and I could see the surroundings. The room was spacious and had a bathtub, so I had no problems. There was a wide selection of breakfast options, so I was satisfied. I took the high-speed rail from Taoyuan Airport to Zuoying Station, left my luggage at the hotel, and went to Liuhe Night Market to eat my way around. I had to transfer, but it was easy to find.

The room is well furnished with a very comfortable bed. It was nice and clean, great shower with plenty of hot water and great cold air conditioning. However there is literally no room to put one suitcase. I was travelling with my partner and we had a case so we had to move both of our suitcases every time we entered or left the room. We had to leave them in the middle of the floor at night - one in front of the entrance door which actually made it a serious hazard if we had to leave due to a fire etc. I would not recommend this hotel for this reason alone. The free breakfast was not great to be honest. If you are western like me it’s sweet cereal or toast. For locals there is pork mince rice and some chicken backbone in a stew which did not look good and a few other things like porridge with pork floss. I really like Asian food and nothing appealed to me here. There was a few pieces of fruit as well like and apple or banana along with reconstituted orange juice and coffee from an automatic machine on the bench. We ate there once and that was enough in our 5 night stay.

Visited this hotel this December at a very decent price! 1000NTD via hotel website , room only. You can add up 150NTD for breakfast , or there are many eateries near by. Louisa cafe just across the street , family mart one block away and many breakfast stalls near by. Room size wasn’t big but good enough for one person, walking shower and separated toilet. Water pressure and temperate are excellent There are few computers for self check in/ out. The time I check in the computers were under maintenance thus I didn’t experience it. As of check out process, very smooth using the touchscreen . There is always someone standby to assist so no need to worry 😀 Walk to HOUYI Mrt station takes about 5 mins , and a few drinks stalls along the way 😉 I will recommend this place to my families and friends with such great price and location 😎
