2 families in total of 4 adults and 5 kids went to Crystal Resort to stay overnight. Our rooms were facing swimming pool with a small balcony. Nice!
Lovely place with many green! We ride bicycle to hang around in this place, along the way will see many type of beautiful flowers, ducks swimming in the pond and play ground for kids to play.
Breakfast provided was tasty, we enjoyed ourselves during the stay.

I have a lot of positive things to say, about the tranquility of being surrounded by mountains The quiet isolation from the usual traffic and crowds that are everywhere else in Taiwan. The fresh air from. The greenery and beautiful rose gardens on property. The friendly staff of Crystal Resort were always there to open a door or greet us as we came in and out. The family room is very large and had a nice sitting area. The balconies are spacious and clean. We stayed in the Club house (the main building). The room needed a fixer upper (corners of wallpaper starting to curl from the Taiwan humidity), older bathrooms with old mirrors and shower in tub (unfriendly for seniors as it has a tiled section that you have to stretch your legs over). However all was clean : no dust or mildew smell that is common in other establishments. The flat screen tv was nice and was used as a separation from the beds. So you can watch tv while the kids are sleeping and they won't be disturbed by the light. The beds are horrible though. Although clean and esthetic, I've had better and softer sleeps camping on dirt. Hence why I've rated this 3*. Ultimately I came here to have a good nights sleep. Otherwise the hotel was very good. I only wish the weather was drier for us to use the swimming pools and enjoy the poolside bar. There was a small swing set for children (again, too rainy for us to use). Note that the "indoor pool" is outdoors but covered. (Lost in translation). The restaurant offered a buffet breakfast which were 80% Taiwanese and 20% Western food. The first dinner we had was pretty bad, but the 2nd night we placed a custom order through their menu (order in the morning) and the result was delicious. They charge $399 NT per person for dinner. Note that there is nothing within walking distance. I originally booked this resort because the map said it was 0.9 km away from Formosan Aboriginal Park, but I have no idea how this can be - maybe this is the distance from the park periphery. All in all, there were many aspects to enjoy. However I don't think I'd return unless they switch to a normal mattress firmness
