Antique B&B

We stayed 3 nights with the intention to do 2 days of diving. We were the only customers at the bnb and it was really nice. The place is private and quiet. The hostess was able to help us with our questions and was quite chirpy. She even made dinner and cakes for us.The house is well decorated and neat. it is a functional charming cottage. No shoes allowed which is also helping to keep it very clean. Our bed was very confortable .would be nice to have a fan in the room instead of just the air con. Note that you need about 5-10 min to cycle to the main village where you can eat and drink. 2 bicycles are for free. We were told that the scooter rental is 400 twd per day but decided that cycling was OK.

We stayed here recently for 2 nights while on a trip to see Kenting national park. Our bus dropped us off in Hengchun town and when I rang the B&B to find out how to get there, the lady I spoke to offered to come out and pick us up which was really lovely of her! The room has a tv, kettle, lots of outlets and a comfortable bed. The air con worked well and it was very quiet so our sleep was not disturbed. The B&B isn't in the centre of town but I liked this as it was so peaceful there but they have bicycles which you can borrow free of charge to take you into town whenever you like, that takes about 5 minutes. We walked there also which didn't take long. There is a market which you can go to on Sunday's that's great - and on the same side of town as the B&B. All in all we had a great stay, and if I go back to Hengchun I would definitely stay here again!

We were there for Ironman. This is an apartment converted into a B&B in a row of apartments. We had a car so the distance from town was not a problem. But yes, you can't just walk out the door and go to a noodle shop. There are no stores nor noodle shops nearby. You really have to go to Henchun Township for that stuff. The owner provided us with alot of stuff - Clear shampoo, hand wash, Dove body wash, hair dryer, laundry detergent, tissue, hand towels, thick towels. There's a washing machine, small refrigerator and stove. I felt like I was in a home because it was a home. Don't expect a hotel. There is no room service. But they do fix up the room.
