Cheers Plus Taipei

The boutique hotel is located on the 5th floor of a building. There is a boutique downstairs , Cheers boutique which is the same owner as the hotel so no problem in case you encounter no one to open the main door for you. I paid a little more for a double room and it was well worth it. The bed was soft and comfortable . There was a table and 2 chairs in the balcony which was closed up so there was aircon and you can do some simple paperwork there except the lightings are a little dim . There was another big open balcony area . Can dry some simple washing if you are staying for more days. There is an ongoing construction nextdoor but if you are out of the room from morning until after 5pm then it is alright. it doesn't bother me that much as I had a Long flight and was too tired to be bothered by this. Convenience as diagonally across the street is Ning Xia night market. Small nigh market was have good food. Less crowded like other night market and more locals.

I stayed at this property March 3&4 2015, Room 528. Not very far from Taipei rail station and the MRT, Cheers is tucked away in a modern office building occupying the 5th floor. The major landmark is a Starbucks; the hotel entrance is just around the corner from the Starbucks, where a doorperson will admit you to the building and guide you to the elevator. Receptionists Jeff and Da-Da were so helpful, I would stay again based on their personalities. Room was small and efficient...bed, small desk, sink, restroom ok...exactly what one would need to crash, not for those looking to lounge in hotel all day. Construction going on during the day, but peaceful at night. Excellent budget property.

This is the hotel for travelers like me who have no intention of spending their trip hanging out in their hotel room. My room was slightly larger than the bed, with a private bathroom & shower attached. That and the free Wi-Fi were all that I needed. (There was also a large flatscreen TV and mini-fridge as added bonuses.) It's located on the 5th floor of a stylish office building that seems to be undergoing renovations. There is no sign on the entrance. Approach the door to the right of the Starbucks on the corner, and the doorman will let you in and authorize the elevator for you with a card swipe. This hotel is very close to the Ningxia Night Market, a coin-operated laundry, a 7-Eleven, the aforementioned Starbucks, and the cozy craft-beer-serving bar: A Maker X. Two metro stations are nearby, with Zhongshan probably being the most convenient – Exit 6 is the closest to the hotel. Cheers Plus isn't for everyone, but for the right travelers, this is ideal for the price. There are so many other great things in Taipei to spend your money on. Sleep here, then get out and explore.
