Moshamanla Hotel - Ximen Branch

Entering from the street, you first come to the shared elevator hall. I thought the front desk would be on that floor, so I got on the elevator and pressed the floor button, but there was no response. It seems you have to touch your room card. I got off and called the hotel. I kept repeating that my broken English didn't work, and then a front desk staff member came out of the automatic door at the back of the elevator hall. It seemed that the front desk was at the entrance to the automatic door. I was alone in a double room, but the room was spacious and there was enough space even if I opened two large suitcases. The building and room felt old, but there was enough space and the bathroom had a large bathtub, so I was able to stay there and was satisfied. The toilet paper cannot be flushed. It's in a good location in Ximending, about 15 to 20 minutes walk from the airport MRT Taipei Station. It's in a downtown area, so there are convenience stores, restaurants, breakfast shops, and everything else nearby. I chose this hotel because I only needed to sleep, and I could get to Dihua Street in about 10 minutes by youbike, so I decided to just go for the price and location, but after a long walk, I was able to relax in the large bathtub and recover from my fatigue. I would like to use it again when I go to Taipei.

There were multiple long hairs in the towels. There is hair on the bed. There are stains on the blankets and sheets. The hallway and the bedroom smells like cigarettes. There are multiple signs to not smoke... so I don’t understand why even bother to make a rule and not enforce it. The pictures are totally not a reality of what the hotel looks like. The walls are very thin so you hear the neighbors. And the bathroom is not very discreet so you can kind of roughly see what’s going on. If you’re ok with the low price and low quality you won’t be disappointed however I prefer to have something more decent than this.

Booked 3 rooms and 1 of the room layout is completely different which causes the seems smaller. Let the hotel staff know but they insist of rooms are the same. It's obvious that the toilet is way smaller. Disappointed with the stay as compare with my first visit.
