Lio Hotel

While the prices of hotels in Taipei have risen across the board since COVID-19, I think this is a rare hotel near Taipei Station where you can stay in a private room at a low price. I was nervous because the reviews were mixed, but I booked a room with a double bed and a refrigerator, adding a little extra. The size of the room was perfect. However, the smell bothered me the moment I entered, and it wasn't a bad smell, but the smell that you get when you wear the same clothes for a long time without washing them often. I was able to open the window, so I just ventilated the room, and maybe my nose got used to it, but it cleared up. The toilet and shower room are narrow and the door hits you. The amenities are the bare minimum for Taiwan, and I always hate it, so I bring flip-flops with me. Also, since the toilet is not heated, it's cold, so I bring something that can be used in the 100 yen toilet. There were slippers, a plastic bottle, and a tea set. Since it was a two-person room, there were towels for two people. All the amenities are disposable packs, so if you are concerned about them, I recommend bringing your own. There was soap. Since I stayed for 2 nights, the WiFi was changed properly the next day. The Wi-Fi worked well. I also woke up early in the morning because I could hear people talking in the hallway. There was someone using the WiFi on the second day, and I could hear their voices, but it was otherwise quiet. However, the machine noise from above the room was a bit annoying. It's a bit of a walk from Taipei Station, but from Songshan Airport, the bus is more convenient than a taxi. From Taoyuan Airport, it's quite close to the station, and it's also close to the North Gate and the West Gate, so I think it's surprisingly convenient. There are many shops around, so I didn't feel too uneasy even late at night. On the first day, there was a man at the counter, but on the second day, it was a woman, and she kept my luggage when I checked out. I might use it again.

It is adorable to see the hotel room decoration. My niece really love the decorations. It is enjoyable and pleasant for us to stay that hotel room. The only thing is that the room is not so spacious. And also provide for luggage care services.

The hotel is near the Taipei Main Station and Ximen station. The room is small yet tidy and the staff cleans it everyday and replenishes the toiletries. There's free breakfast but it wasn't good. It is an okay budget hotel.
