Sheraton Taitung Hotel

As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member for over 16 years, I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties worldwide, and our very first visit to Taitung — a last‑minute trip for a birthday celebration — left a remarkable impression thanks to the outstanding team at the Sheraton Taitung Hotel. I traveled with my son with ASD, and several staff members made our stay exceptionally comfortable and memorable. Front Office Assistant Manager Iris Chang (張筱君) deserves special recognition. Because my son is sensitive to noise and changes in environment, Iris went above and beyond to help us find a room that suited his needs. She patiently showed us several options and arranged a room with a beautiful view. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made a meaningful difference in our stay. Daniel at the Club Lounge is another standout. His expertise as a trained barista shines through in every drink he prepares — from excellent coffee to delicious teas and cocktails. His warm and attentive service made our lounge visits a highlight of the trip. The breakfast buffet team was equally impressive. The buffet features wonderful local flavors, and every staff member we met was gracious, welcoming, and attentive. They made our mornings relaxed and enjoyable. A small suggestion: The Club Lounge Happy Hour would be even better with more variety in its food offerings, as the selection felt a bit repetitive — especially with the daily Oden (關東煮). Introducing more rotational dishes would elevate the experience even further. The staff at the Sheraton Taitung Hotel made our first visit to the city truly special. Their dedication and hospitality left a lasting impression, and I look forward to returning on my next trip. Generally alright, with good facilities in general for a family trip. Service levels generally good, as is to be expected in Taiwan where most people are friendly and courteous. Not a fan of open-concept bathrooms however, especially for family rooms.

Great breakfast (a little dispersive perhaps) even if they did not make omelets. Large room with huge bed (needed two duvets). Express elevators (some with views). Friendly staff. Poor lighting in the room. Shower and toilet in two separate rooms. Rest of the bathroom in continuity with the room (open air). Persistent aerator noise even with the light off. Do not visit sauna and swimming pool. In the center (even if the town does not have a real center)
