Ayodhara Village

What a gorgeous location to be in. The timber stilted rooms are beautifully set amongst a delightful garden on the banks of the river. It’s a delight to be there except there is no one else there! There is also no shops and the location is several kilometres from the main temples and attractions. If you stay here you will need transport and will need to bring food & drinks as there is a very limited menu available on request ( you might want to bring your own bed lamp too). There is no restaurant. Others have mentioned how hard the mattresses are. Mine was next level hard. This is the kind of place locals from Bangkok would come to to escape the city hustle and bustle ( but maybe be they bring their own mattress and pillows). The owner is lovely. She speaks very little English so it’s a good place to get your Thai going. Overall a wonderful place but generally for someone wanting just to visit the temples it’s probably too inconvenient. Nevertheless if you want a beautiful quiet place with monastic bedding then this could be for you.

Ayodhara Village is a delightful three-star resort with a truly charming atmosphere. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, with a whimsical layout that invites guests to explore. Trees, bushes, and cozy little nooks are spread throughout the property, creating plenty of peaceful spots to sit back and relax, especially by the river. The accommodations consist of about 12 simple wooden cabins, each equipped with air conditioning, which was a relief in the warm weather. The rooms themselves were basic but comfortable. One thing to note is that the bathrooms could use a bit of updating; they’re functional but definitely show signs of wear. The staff was a real highlight of our stay - very friendly and genuinely helpful. Since the property doesn’t have a true restaurant (just a vending machine with instant noodles), we ordered through Grab. The hotel team went above and beyond to help set up and serve the food we had delivered, making it feel like a personalized dining experience. If you’re looking for a tranquil, picturesque setting and don’t mind limited on-site dining, Ayodhara Village is a wonderful place to stay.

Ancient wood “villa” just like in the Ancient City bkk upgraded with standard hotel amenities such as king bed, fan, AC, TV, fridge, and a roomy restroom. Outside on the wrap around deck are chairs and table to enjoy a shady outside time. Hinged folding double doors open up 2 meters bringing in the outside but without a screen you can choose to open any of the screened shuttered windows which do provide reasonable mosquito barrier. PRIOR Complaints I’ve read in reviews: Cracks in floors, some boards move when walking….. LOOK Here.. these are structures built long time ago, like maybe 100’s of years. You’re in Thailand, please, these are ancient homes along the river, raised a meter, ooh I can see a sliver of light below floor. DISREGARD ANY NEGATIVE REVIEW if you want an ancient nature experience, if not go to days inn (I live days inn BTW)
