The Raya Surawong Hotel

Location: downtown, busy area Home: pro Room: large (35 m2); view of the courtyard so quiet. Large shower with individual hot water balloon... wifi did not work Neighborhood: lively. Night market (counterfeits, Chinese shops...), hostess bars, ping pong, etc... no street prostitution but many otherwise excellent massage parlours. A few folders to attract the gogo to establishments further back... But the atmosphere is very safe, here no discomfort as in the hot Paris districts. Conclusion: good hotel.

Clean tidy room, good bathroom, not too dated compared to others in this price range. Good location. The hotel is a little unusual in that there is no front desk facing the street. Reception is on L5, the breakfast room is on L4, and our room was on L3. Functional building from the outside, well furnished and presented on the inside. The breakfast buffet is generous and varied. Asian, western and continental breakfast, fresh fruits, juices. At this price range we were impressed. For accommodation at a decent price in this part of Bangkok, would recommend.

About 45 minutes by Grab taxi from Suvarnabhumi Airport in the early morning THB217 + toll & tip. The staff are friendly and the work is accurate. I carry my own luggage. Deluxe Double has separate living room and bedroom. Now there's a coffee table, a sofa, and a desk and chairs by the bedroom. The windows are large but the view is not great. Lighting can be controlled by a bedside switch. The A/C is powerful, but when the card key is unplugged from the slot, the room loses all power within seconds. Wi-Fi is free and downloads about 20-100Mbps, but sometimes it drops. Power is around the desk and at the bedside, plus plenty more. The laundry was dried. NHK World was seen on LCD TV. The closet can accommodate enough. A few woodhangers. Luggage rack and safety deposit box available. Dispo slippers available. No iron or ironing board. The mattress in the bed didn't sink at the waist, it didn't smell like pillowcases or sheets and the quality was fine. They leave the room and do the cleaning immediately. I couldn't hear the sounds upstairs or next door. There are two bath towels and two face towels of good quality. Bathrobe for two. Bath amenities include pump bottle shampoo. Hair dryer available. Shower cap available. Shave, no lotions. There is no problem with the water temperature or water pressure in the bathroom, but since it is an individual hot water supply system, only water is used for the severe top wash for a long time. There was no bathtub. There was a shower nozzle in the toilet. Complimentary bottle of mineral water per day. There were various beers and juices in the minibar. Two coffee cups. Free hot drinks are stick instant coffee and tea bags with sugar and creamer. There is a kettle for boiling water. No problem cleaning the room at all. Breakfast is Thai and Japanese Western. Some people criticize breakfast, but well, normal. If you want more, you'll stay in a hotel for the right amount. Breakfast restaurants may have an even lower Rating because furniture such as tables and chairs are super cheap. But the staff were nice and the vegetables were fresh. BTS and Metro stations are less than 10 minutes away, and there are no problems with nightlife spots or places to eat. Seven is just across Suwawon Street. The impression was that it was for the Japanese who wanted to joiner, but quite a few locals and Phalanx stayed there.
