iDeer Hostel

Awesome place to sleep when on visit in Bangkok for Backpackers. The price is pocket friendly and the rooms are clean. I recommend it for travelers on Budget or explorers who wish to spend tightly. Give it a try.

I was after something cheap on my last day in Thailand, and after seeing good reviews, decided to try's hostel for the first time. Of course it was very cheap! 200THB for a 4 bed female dorm. I arrived early, and was offered to wait or come back at 2pm which I expected- however the hostel didn't seem busy at all, so I'm kind of Suprised they didn't let me check in 1 hour early. All the taxi and Tuk Tuk drivers were unable to find this place easily- maybe some more signage would be good? Or a telephone number that works. Myself and the taxi driver tried calling the number provided on several occasions however it kept saying "unavailable" I was lucky to be given a double bed, however I have to say, it was the most uncomfortable sleep I have ever had! I don't expect luxury. However a rock hard mattress and no bedding isn't ideal! The room was very dirty and I itched the whole night- I slept in full clothing and got out as early as I could this morning. I am currently sat at the airport still feeling dirty(even with a shower) and unfortunately can say that this is my 1st and last hostel experience!

I stayed here about 18 months ago and again the last few nights. It's a bit run down since last time (some tiles in some bathrooms need to be replaced, the yellow doors look a bit grimy) but it's still very clean. Staff were super helpful though a bit late to start and on long breaks. No privacy curtains. Wifi stopped working randomly late at night each night I stayed. I'd stay here for a third time for sure.
