Golden Apartment

This is a new hotel and everything is shiny and in good order however all the floors are tile and every single noise on each floor of 50 or so rooms you can hear, you could literally hear a pin drop at the other end of the corridor. I can hear next-door sneeze, I can hear the room next-door press their light switch on and off, I can hear at least 20 blaring TV sets on multiple channels and I can hear a kid shouting and slamming doors. The room itself is clean, the staff are average, seem to have private jokes in their own language constantly and the hotel charges 100 baht for the airport link each way which is a little naughty. Restaurant is very good and well priced, doesn’t open very early however for an airport hotel. Airport link bus has a great big box at the front of the mini bus with “TIPS” written as big as you could imagine, a bit in your face. Bathroom let’s the room down as it is dirty, especially the shower curtain which needs a good bleach, bed is rock hard. This hotel looks quite good however the noise is a massive issue and for that reason alone I say avoid this one. Hotel appears to lack a fire alarm, any fire escape signage and emergency equipment, I don’t feel very safe here being on a third floor with one exit route. This hotel has a lift but is not disability friendly as there are multiple stairs to get up-to the lobby and even the side entrance has a few stairs. No minibar No room safe Shower is an electric one but adequate Not too far from the airport Bedroom is clean Mattress very hard Noise is unbearable, average of 60db pretty much constantly. Reception not that friendly but efficient

We booked Golden apartment as a pit stop for a night on our way to Pattaya. We were surprised to see the cleanliness and the facilities offered by them for such a cheap price. We found their amenities way better than some other expensive hotels we have stayed in Bangkok. They offer you a microwave, fridge, TV and all basic am amenities to have a good time. Would highly recommend this place to people who have limited budget but can't compromise on the quality of service offered.
