The Bed And Breakfast

I found this pleasant gesthouse in 1994 and since that I used it almost every time. The fee was 480 Bath for double room, until they renovated the whole house sometimes in 2006. The the price went up a bit. But today on the 15th june 2012 there was an announcement on the door that the guesthouse business is permanently finished. Whatever this means its sad to know. These years gave an alternative for a reasonable accomodation. My feelings now: R.I P. Bed & Breakfast Bangkok.

This was the first time I had stayed in the Silom area of Bangkok, usually I head for Banglampu. The Bed & Breakfast Guesthouse is well situated. It's about 5 minutes walk to the shopping centres in Silom, MBK, Siam Center, Paragon etc etc, but you'd never guess how busy an area it's in thanks to its position near the corner of the Soi. The rooms are clean and fine for somewhere to sleep and store your stuff securely whilst out and about! Though my bed was on the soft side - something I've never come across before in Thailand. The family who run it are helpful & friendly. What more could you ask? Breakfast is included in the rate - simple affair or either tea or coffee with toast and some fruit. I paid 600BHT a night for a single room with air-con and en-suite bathroom. Think that was fair for the location. Definitely recommended. Free wi-fi too.

stayed here for a few nights, rooms are very plain and boxy but the bed is comfortable and clean. the walls aren't spotless as someone mentioned in a previous review, but thats fine. a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss though. the bathroom is very small, with the shower area quite constrained and easy to bang an elbow although other than that it was clean and in good condition. the breakfast was very simple - toast, jam and tea or coffee with some fruit. better than nothing! other features were the wifi worked in our room (it says only in the lobby) and the water machine meaning we could top up our water bottles or make a cup of tea/coffee. a good budget option on this soi... if you can up the budget though stay at wendy house or a-one.
