The Sakul House hotel front door opens right on a noisy walk -in street with loud music from the bars and restaurants only meters away. If you like the nightlife action this hotel will be suitable for you, but if you want a good nights rest, I would recommend a booking in a quieter area The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but the noisy street below made sleeping almost impossible. The front office staff was helpful, but we found it strange that we had to pay a B1 500 room deposit even if our accommodation was paid in full before our arrival. Not the most pleasant experience we had in Bangkok where we have spent a lot of time in slightly more expensive hotels and quieter surroundings.

The hotel is fine apart from the building works that start at 8am everyday and the internet which has been horrendous for the past 24 hours. They also require a 1500 baht deposit which is ridiculous. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Good views from the front. The restaurant is shocking. The women who runs it clearly dislikes back packers. Twice i have seen her assault females because they've had the audacity to plug a phone into a socket. Service is rubbish and the food average. Don't give these people your money.

One of my friends was hungry so we went to the restaurant in front of the hotel. We was 4 people who was sitting there, but only one was hungry and ordered food. She ask for the WiFi code but was not allowed to get it, because we all didn’t ordered anything. 5 minuets later the staff came and ask os to leave the restaurant because we had to order if we want to stay. So we couldn’t join our friend for lunch. Of course she leaved the restaurant with us. Worst service I ever seen!!
