The Ninth Place Serviced Residence

My dad chose this place because of the location of it. He had stayed here before and warned us that they had tried to scam money out of him but would give them another shot. Our family had three stays booked here over the course of a month while we traveled around Thailand. The first stay here their pool burned our 3 year old. Chemical burns. She is now scarred for life. Their response, "oh yes, the pool company should not have let us open the pool. You aren't the first ones with burns today. Your daughter is too young and shouldn't have been in the pool" so of course... Blame us for their incompetence. The second time we came through Bangkok we stayed again with 5 bedrooms booked. Over 50,000 baht they would have made off of us. This time my daughter had been scratching her mosquito bites and had some blood spots on her sheets. So of course they charged us 2600 baht. Yes $75 for sheets that felt like sandpaper. We asked them for the sheets since they said they had to charge full price for them and they quickly changed their story...saying they only charged to dry clean them so they couldn't give them to us. $75 to dry clean a set of sheets???!! We even upgraded to the most expensive room in the hotel on our second visit, the second most expensive room during this visit and the room was terrible. The wall paper was peeling off in the master bedroom because of the ac unit. The apartments were filthy, housekeeping barely did a thing and were stingy about restocking toilet paper...(yes I asked for an extra roll, for our family of 5, the first night we were there and they said we couldn't have one until 1pm the next day). We immediately canceled our final stay for four nights and went somewhere else. All 5 rooms lost because they wanted to scam an extra 2600 baht out so housekeeping didn't have to wash the sheets. Simple answer. Bleach. We pay to stay in a hotel and that should include having our sheets washed. We will never stay here again. I hope the owners figure out soon that the lady that manages the place in the office, and the front staff are running the place into the ground.

Located halfway between the airport and downtown, in the commercial wilderness of the Sri Nagkarin Road, this place seemingly has little to offer the casual visitor to Bangkok. It is aimed at long-term rentals for local workers, and consequently there is none of the attention to detail as at a true hotel. In fact, the whole place resembles a hire car -- looking new on the outside, but having been driven hard for a number of years. The TV reception was on the blink, the WiFi (at $5 per day) so weak as to be almost useless, the swimming pool filled with leaves, and also with high concentrations of chlorine, and even the shower water heater was broken. The saddest part was that management were aware of some of these shortcomings (to the extent of posting notices in the lift) but were not minded to do much about them. Given the number of better hotels in better locations at better prices, there seems little reason to consider Ninth Place unless you just have to stay in the Seacon Square area.

near train market 3 star hotel, no free wifi.you have to pay. Hardest mattress I've ever slept on. swimming pool is ok if they clean it. no restaurant.
