My recent stay at this hotel was, without exaggeration, one of the worst hospitality experiences I have ever had. The issues began immediately upon check-in when I discovered a lizard in my room. When I requested a room change, I was initially offered a smoking room—despite clearly informing the staff that I do not smoke and have a severe allergy. It took a prolonged and frustrating argument before I was finally moved to a somewhat acceptable room. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. The overall condition of the property is extremely poor—rooms are visibly unclean, with broken flooring and ceilings, and a persistent unpleasant odor coming from the windows and curtains. Bathrooms are unhygienic, with mosquitoes and even cockroaches easily noticeable. The bed linens and towels were old, stained, and clearly not maintained to any reasonable standard. The service was equally disappointing. Staff responses were consistently dismissive, often limited to “we are just working here” and redirecting concerns to a manager who was either unavailable or equally unhelpful when present. There was a complete lack of accountability and basic customer care. Overall, this experience reflects a serious failure in hygiene, maintenance, and service standards. I would strongly caution others before considering a stay here.

I have stayed here many times over the years. The staff are excellent and very helpful and the breakfast remains very good. However, the hotel has become very dilapidated and is now seriously below standard! It should be closed and refurbished as a minimum, or demolished and replaced. I cannot recommend a stay here at all. Despite the fine efforts of the staff, it is now a very seedy hotel. A great pity - it used to be very good. Afternote: The Nest Bar on the 8th floor is now also very seedy and dilapidated. And its prices are just ridiculous! A small Sapporo beer was 187.50 thb. Don’t bother going there.

Dirty! Cockroach infestation! We’ve booked for 3 nights. 5-8 December. I have already checked out and had to book another hotel. We’ve lasted 2 nights and I have to be honest, it was only because we were out all day, and it was late and we were tired so we just went to sleep. I don’t mind cheap hotel and base amenities but it has to be clean. This one is far far from it. There are cockroaches loose in the room. I’ve killed one before leaving to town and the body was still there after the room was cleaned by the maids. Unbelievable. Towels full of holes , like paper. I was told on the reception that because I paid by card they can’t refund me money for the last unused day. Avoid at all cost!
