A fairly new hotel with simple but smart clean rooms in a quiet location on the outskirts of Chanthaburi. You will need a scooter or taxi to get into town (10 mins)but the owner is very helpful in sorting this. We stopped here for a couple of nights on our way from Bangkok to Koh Chang. We hired scooters to explore locally and visited a couple of waterfalls and the town. We visited an incredible vibrant "locals" night market on a Tuesday in town which was the most exciting of any we have visited in Asia. There was music, and amazing foods stands offering every kind of local Thai delicacy of the highest quality. If you are in the area on the market day then it is well worth a visit. It's all around the King Taksin monument lake close to the town centre.
