Jan19-25 2025 Takes some doing to find it because it's on those tiny alley streets. But once you find it you're okay. No elevator. The bathroom is in two rooms. The toilet and sink is in one and the shower is in the other. You have to stoop to go through because the door openings are not that high. The bathroom has no hot water. It has a mirror but no receptacles. Toilet paper is provided. American toilet. The shower hot water is supplied by one of those instant heaters, so the flow is not that fast, and you have to play with it... There is a towel rack. The door does not close... Nice big towels - must be 4 ft long... I had corner room 201. Two walls of which have windows so it is a nice bright room. Morning sun comes through one... The bed is a double and is comfy. Nice bright light in the ceiling. Light switches are next to the door nowhere near the bed. No bedside night or reading lights. No nightstand next to the bed for your watch or clock. One multiple plug receptacle near the floor next to the door opposite the bed. Small refrig. Slow internet. The place is clean. The place has a pool. Good sleep for 500thb/14.70usd/nt Staff is extremely cordial and accommodating. Location is walkable to The Chiang Mai Gate and the Night Market, on the East end of the South moat. So there is plenty of food to access, but shop from booth to booth. As an example, mango smoothies go anywhere from 45 to 20THB... Look for the booth right next to the canal on the west end of all the booths for the 20 one... and I have to comment on the Trip Advisor review. It says: The Bupatara offers 21 exclusive and contemporary style rooms in a relaxing environment with a lush tropical garden and pool. Welcoming guests to the ultimate city resort escape, the Bupatara's private and exclusive surroundings with wholly hearted-service promise to make your stay in Chiang Mai memorable. gawd... EXCLUSIVE? -- nah... LUSH TROPICAL GARDEN? -- nope ULTIMATE RESORT? -- no way SERVICE? -- wonderful... I stand my my review...

Booked to stay for 3 nights. Checked in checked out. Disgusting, not fit for a dog to sleep in, let alone humans. DO NOT STAY HERE. It was filthy, the pool was green and filthy. The room was mouldy, dirty and run down. The beds were full of springs stained mouldy and dirty, the towels stained, the shower full of old hair. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. The only good thing was the location

Old and rusty. Not clean at all. We didn't expect anything golden and shiny for this price but this is really bad. Elektric plug in on my side of bed was torn and wires were coming out. Doors on shower couldn't be closed 😖😖😖😖😖
