Definitely not recommended. The room is equipped with old furniture and century-old ruined curtains. The carpet is dirty and not maintained. Sheets torn. You definitely don't feel comfortable in the room. The windows of the room and the sidewalk in front of the "hotel" are dirty from birds. There was no hot water in the bathroom.

I have stayed in many very nice 3 star hotels in Southeast Asia, including in Hanoi and Hue. This is a 2 star property at best. Staff are pleasant and helpful and the lobby is pleasant. Once we got in the elevator, the lack of maintenance and updates clearly shows. It was hard to tell what floor the elevator is on- the right side of the display doesn’t work. The hallways are dark & dismal. The beds were hard, but ok. The shower head flowed, but pointed only straight down it moves but it is not possible to get it to spray toward a bather. The refrigerator didn’t cool and the safe was inoperable. We reported the last two items and they were repaired that day. Breakfast was ok. 2 star at best.

Booked 2 interconnecting rooms for an impromptu family holiday. Was one of the cheaper options and I figured we will just be using the room to sleep in. Location isn't that central. It was quite a walk even to Anusarn night market. It's a good thing Grab is efficient in Chiang Mai. Rooms were old, air-conditioning was difficult to regulate and street noise was very noticeable. Bottled water replenished everyday, but no coffee. Water heater pot malfunctioning in one of the rooms. TV was the old CRT TVs (seriously, who has these relics around???) with no international channels. Bathrooms were old with leaky pipes and unreliable pressure in the showers (which were over bath - the bathtubs were quite grimy). Staff were friendly enough and that probably was the redeeming grace of the property. The hotel served my purpose, but I would think twice about booking again.
