The Encore Hotel

I don’t even know where to start with this nightmare of a stay. From the moment we achecked in, everything went downhill. The lobby was stuffy, with a musty smell that made me question if the place was even clean. The receptionist barely acknowledged us, and when she did, it was with a level of indifference I thought was impossible in customer service. She told us to wait for their rider to drive us to the main hotel my employer booked for me which made me feel at ease unknowingly to us that the next place is a whole upgraded messy place. The room was a disaster. The floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and there were stains on the bedspread that I didn’t even want to imagine the origin of. The bathroom? Don’t even get me started. Then, I had to check my booking and told them my employer reserved a Family Deluxe with two queens bed and why are you guys handling me two different keys for two different rooms and the receptionist said we should manage it for the night which got me really angry before they said they mixed up my booking and in view of that, they will take us to the actual encore guest house. When we got to the third hotel, fairly manageable with a broken door, moldy walls, dirty couch and lots of "Pattaya thingy" I went to the front desk to complain, but nobody was there. I called my employer and sent pictures and videos and she called the reception and Agoda as well but guess what, myself, my employer and Agoda could not reach the customer care that night. Eventually, I gave up and we went to bed, but the noise from the hallway and other rooms kept me awake that we had to leave the hotel on the New Year's Eve and started walking around to while away time as we find another hotel. My employer paid for 6 nights but i spent only one night and left for the new hotel in the morning. I have requested for a cancellation and refund for the whole 6 nights on the basis of falseful and misappropriate Ad which we are yet to get a refund. I’ve stayed in budget hotels before, but this place was a whole new level of awful. Save your money and your sanity, this hotel is not worth the trouble. Wouldn’t stay here again if it were free.

This hotel should be 0. The photos shown on website are not actual photos of the hotel. The 5 stars certainly must be paid reviews. I purchased 7 day stay, Famiky Deluxe, 2-Bed in advance, but opin arrival, they said they didn’t have the room available & they offered me a filthy, 1 bed room On the 4th floor, with no aircon, filthy bed linen and dirty room all around. Please read my story before you book a room at this filthy. And PLease LOOK AT MY PHOTOS… they are real! Here’s my response to Agoda. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and to demand a full refund for my 6-night reservation I made on Agoda’s website at the Encore Walking Street Guesthouse, which was paid for as a thoughtful New Year gift from my boss. On New Year’s Eve, December 31st, 2024, I along with my guest arrived at the Encore Walking street Guest house expecting to celebrate the New Years holiday in a comfortable, colorful and welcoming space. Instead, my guest and I were met with a devastating situation that left us shocked, stranded without suitable accommodations. Ensure Walking street looks nothing like the photos shown on Agoda’s website portal! I cannot believe the 5 star ratings here on Agoda. You would be way too generous to wrote a review more than 0. This place is not fit for a dead horse. I took the photos of this property on 12/31/2024 at 5:30pm. You can see the time stamp on some photos. On December 24, 2024, I booked a Family Deluxe Room with 2-beds, based on the photos displayed on Agoda’s website. (See attached photos of what I reserved and paid for & what’s was offered). The 2 separate beds were needed as our reservation required 2 people, not a couple. As you can see, the photos depicted on Agoda’s Website for the Encore Walking street guesthouse is a clean, colorful, and spacious room with two beds, eating area, front entrance checkin and colorful rooms - which was exactly what I expected. This is BS! The photos on the website are fake! The guesthouse looks nothing like it. Unfortunately, upon arrival, there was no staff available to check us in . We had to wait over an hour for someone to emerge to give us keys. I was informed that no room with two beds was available and was given keys to another room on a top floor that looked like an attic. Despite showing the receptionist the photos from the booking, we were offered an extremely dirty single-bed room that was completely unacceptable. Here are some of the egregious issues with this guesthouse as the photos will validate: • The room was located on the fourth floor, without an elevator or air conditioning. • It was in a filthy and unsafe condition, with holes in the door and ceiling and clear signs of property neglect. • The one bed provided was unclean, with stained and unsanitary linens. • The bathroom was in a state of disrepair, with mold on the floors and walls and trash, including used bottles, canisters left behind in the bathroom - the entrance door had a large gash, did not have a proper latch leaving the room unsecured • The room bore no resemblance to the images or descriptions on your website. Being faced with these conditions on New Year’s Eve—a time when alternative accommodations were nearly impossible to secure—was both emotionally and logistically devastating. The rooms were in such horrific shape, finally after arguing for nearly 1 hour, the guesthouse attendant in this photo agreed to take us to another place that was even filthier than the first . My guest and I were left with nowhere to go, ruining what should have been a joyful holiday experience. Needless to say our New Years New Y celebration holiday was ruined. This situation represents a blatant case of misrepresentation, false advertisement and negligence. Agoda has the duty and obligation to vet all of its properties to ensure properties advertise what is accurate. This property should not be advertised on Agoda. We had to roam the streets on New Years Eve looking for an accommodation that was clean and safe. We are beyond upset and demand a refund. My employer, xxxxxxx- who gifted me the accommodations, contacted go to on January 1 , spent nearly 1. 5 hours on the phone and was told that Agoda would contact the property to investigate and issue a refund. That has not happened. Under these circumstances, I demand a full refund for the entire 7 nights of the reservation. The refund must be processed immediately to the credit card of my employer who generously gifted this holiday to me and my guest. I have escalated my complaint to Agoda’ s corporate Management, filed a formal grievances with consumer protection agencies, and shared this experience widely through Trip Advisors, other booking websites, online platforms and social media, especially to include all the photos presented here. Look at the photos…don’t say you were not warned. I am waiting for a full refund.

I hope this review will keep you from making a mistake.This hotel is a branch of hell on earth. Just a dump. Furniture's all dead, the ceiling's really scary to look at. Don't believe the hotel photos. And I ask God not to inhabit this place under any circumstances.
