We enjoyed staying at the 99 Bay Resort in Pak Nam, Lang Suan district of Chumphon province. The room was clean and quite spacious. The staff didn't speak English but they were helpful. They even taught us how to drive a motorbike! You will need some sort of transportation as it is about 11km away from the Lang Suan railway station. When we arrived at the station, we struggled to find tuk tuk / taxi... we negotiated with someone to drive us to the resort... You can rent a motorbike at the resort (we paid 200 bahts/day, finishing at 6pm). There are a lot to see, you just have to explore! Not at all touristy, bring your Thai phrase book!
