Tip Anda Resort

We had a comfortable stay, clean rooms, good staff. -we rented a bike from the hotel itself to move around which turned out to be a very good decision for us (ps.saved us lot of money) -location is perfect 1min walk to the beach also not very far from the main city centre. -we had a cottage to ourself with basic amenities. -also for day a trip to different islands do check out with local operators they give better deals den online portals (ps. This Girl called TIP who sits outside 7/11 which is few steps away from noori Indian restaurant in the main city centre) To summarise it was a good stay!

The Good: The resort was clean. AC worked. Breakfast was good. We were right beside a night market that had great food and other vendors. The area is less busy than the towns to the south but still had many shops and restaurants. The resort was very close to the beach (but not ON the beach). The rooms included a working safe and a mini fridge, which was stocked with two water bottles each day. Shampoo, soap and towels (a bath set and a beach set) were supplied, and the shower had hot water. The Not-so-Good: The rooms don’t have a phone in them and the wifi didn’t work, so you could only communicate with your travel companions face to face. The lack of wifi also made it impossible to look up directions or restaurants while on the resort. They actually turn the wifi right off through the night until 7am - the rest of the time it’s on but too weak to use. The pool was out of order for the first part of our stay so there was no swimming other than the beach (watch out for the many jelly fish). We inquired about laundry one day but the front desk had no idea what we were talking about. The bed was very hard. There is no common space where a group of friends can sit/hang out, other than your cabin front porch. Finally, we happened to be right beside an international off-road event so we had dirt bikes, dune buggies and monster trucks driving by our room non-stop for races. They were parked right behind our cabin and one of the competitors was staying right beside us. The (very loud) vehicles ran until after 2:30am for two of the nights. The announcers and heavy bass blared all day long and into the night. Even with ear plugs in, the AC blowing and the bathroom fan on, it sounded like the trucks were in your room. Overall, an OK resort. They have most of the basics but are lacking some essentials like wifi.

Nice. Good. Clean. Polite. Close to everything. Staff is polite. Breakfast could be better. Room service really good. Pool is clean. All togather is definitly to recomend and come again if I have a chance
