Phi Phi Don Chukit Resort

We stayed at this hotel in March 2026 for 1 night. Pool area nice with the swimming pool overlooking the bay. That is about as nice as it gets! Rooms AWFUL - Looked like a prison camp or Butlins at Sea!! Curtains mismatched and one longer than the other, bathroom disgusting - stains and dirt everywhere, piping coming through the floor, shower not attached to the wall securely. Just terrible. Outside the rooms on the forecourt the paint has peeled off - so just looks and feels scruffy. This was the worst hotel that we stayed in on our 5 weeks holiday. All of the rooms need knocking down and rebuilding.

Women who menstruate, do not stay at this hotel during your period! They charged me 2,000 baht for a sheet I accidentally stained because of my period. I researched online and found that a 400-thread-count cotton sheet costs 800 baht! I tried to speak to the manager, but he refused to listen to me and wouldn't show me the receipt from the specialized laundry, nor even the stained sheet after it was washed. I felt cheated, both as a woman and as a customer. I've stayed at this hotel four times, and this time was a disaster!! Besides the imposed fine, the room had cockroaches and the water pressure decreased at night. It took patience to shower, as the water pressure changed constantly during the shower. I still think the pool area is wonderful and the staff service is wonderful. Except for the management, who failed me. I felt cheated as a woman!!! I wanted to pay a fair price for the sheet and not be punished for menstruating. Mulheres que menstruem, não se hospedem neste hotel durante o período menstrual! Cobraram-me 2.000 baht por um lençol que manchei acidentalmente por causa da menstruação. Pesquisei online e descobri que um lençol de algodão com 400 fios custa 800 baht! Tentei falar com o gerente, mas ele se recusou a me ouvir e não me mostrou o recibo da lavanderia especializada, nem mesmo o lençol manchado depois de lavado. Senti-me lesada, tanto como mulher quanto como cliente. Já fiquei quatro vezes nesse hotel, dessa fez foi um desastre!! Além da multa imposta, o quarto tinha baratas e a pressão da água à noite diminuía. Era preciso paciência para tomar banho, já que a constância da água mudava toda hora durante o banho. continuo achando a parte da piscina maravilhosa e o atendimento dos funcionários maravilhoso. Exceto, da gerência que foi falha comigo. Me senti lesada como mulher!!! Queria pagar o preço justo pelo lençol e não ser punida por menstruar.

Took a chance on this resort and honestly loved my experience. Traveling solo, and for the hostel prices in phi phi, having a private room at this price was already a steal. The staff were friendly and stored my luggage behind the reception desk before check in for me. I laid by the pool while i waited for my room to be ready. The pool was nice and never crowded, I spent a fair amount of time there, the views were just beautiful. Had lunch at the restaurant, food was decent but nothing special, the view however was lovely and service was good. My room was great, extremely spacious and bed was comfy. Only complaint is the shower head gets most of the bathroom wet but that seemed to be a theme in Thailand. Also avoid the public bathrooms, they were quite gross, make the short walk back to your room I promise it's not worth it lol. Location of the resort was perfect, such a short walk from the pier as well as other restaurants and shops. Overall I had a great experience and felt the value was great for a budget option on phi phi.
