We picked Sunawaree based on previous reviews. The staff were polite and welcoming, the accommodation was clean and serviceable and the food was good. There is a free boat taxi from the main town at regular intervals and the taxi driver meets every ferry arriving on the island with a sign to Sunawaree. We chose to walk and it took maybe 25 minutes from the pier. The journey was slightly arduous, along a forest track but it is well lit if you’re waking at night. We’d recommend this place for couples willing to put the effort in. There are also sea kayaks available from the accommodation.

It should have clearly been stated that this property was only accessible by boat from the island. The staff couldn’t speak English so we had to chat to the manager over an iPad.. There was loads of bugs but this is expected as it’s basically in the jungle

we had to cancel our stay as we were unable to travel. After emailing the property couple of times explaining the circumstances of our cancellation I received a one line email saying that as per policy they would not write off part of full amount of the booking. We were planing to book for other time as we are doing with the rest of the hotel we were supposed to stay on this trip but now we know better...
