Large building of 15 floors, medium maintenance, breakfast included for which dishes are cooked to order. First room offered to a family of 4...the standard room(2000b)...one asks for a larger room...not any available, we had to show him the larger room available on the internet to have it... damn, we forgot to say the magic word "connecting room" (2 communicating rooms) (2500b) which finally was well available. In the room, NO HOT WATER, we report it to the reception...a person comes to run the water from the shower for 10 minutes, before concluding with a no of the head followed by a shrug...which meant no, no hot water. To finish the pool is not in the hotel but in the building next door, housed between 4 walls. Anyway, it wasn't the dream experience.

This hotel was a great location. Away from the noise and a very short walk to great restaurants, pub street and other markets. The staff was so friendly and nice, better than any I encountered in SE Asia. The pool and rooftop was great to relax at night. The rooms and bathroom weren’t incredible, but definitely not terrible and I didn’t have any problems with them at all!

At first look the hotel from the outside was impressive, and the room looked great. The primary purpose of my stay was to sleep! The bed, even though a king size was not long enough for my 175cm (5'10"). The edge of the mattress had a hard lift that hurt my feet. And I had to sleep across the diagonal (I was alone). The mattress also was lumpy and gave me back ache. Pillows too soft Shower head fixed height and too low Bath creaked - glass fibre Last fit poor - no attention to detail, wardrobe door runners, varnish over glass, balcony door poor difficult lock… Electric shock from bedside light controller!!!!! Fire escape with no fire doors and carpeted - a smoke and fire risk - a small fire on one floor would emit smoke to the whole hotel (all 16 floors) and when and if it spread to the carpet on the stairs - the fire would spread rapidly too.
