Despite its charming looks Villa Malinee lacks your basic needs for hotel. Villa Malinee is more like B&B than your typical hotel service. The only upside we had during our stay is breakfast which is freshly cook and they do know how to make proper scramble egg. We book the largest room as we have 3 adult, the additional bed is a pull out sofa for 1,000 baht extra. The 1,000 extra is for pull out sofa, 1 pillow, 1 towel, 1 breakfast. That's it. No extra water bottle (provide only 2 bottles) if you happen to get thirsty at night. No extra amenities if what they give is not enough (just one small shampoo, a shower gel, etc.for 3 adults). The sleep was uncomfortable, the big bed for 2 adults is queen size with less than comfy mattresses. Pull out sofa, worst. Bedding and towels is very basic. The whole house may look pretty but lack in construction details such as sound proofing. Doors and wall have no sound insulation, so you will hear when people talk in adjacent rooms. Air con are not inverter so the temp will fluctuate as the machine operate on/off. Water heater at the shower is only capable of producing barely warm water, so if it's cold outside you will never get a hot shower. If it's raining, there are no covered walkway from carpark to villa. In summary, it's a pretty house, but I'm sure at this price of about 6,000 you will get a better & comfortable sleep somewhere else nearby.

It was exactly what we were looking for: an extremely quite and comfortable place with a very personal touch and very supportive hosts. Thanks for everything, we enjoyed our stay very much and would like to come back as soon as possible. The garden, the pool, the sunset verandah and the restaurant do deserve a special mentioning. The fact that we did not have our own transport was easily overcome by renting a motorbike, which was very comfortable to drive around the area. Our hosts arrranged everything for us!

Our short stay was very enjoyable, nice host/owner of this small guesthouse. Nice personal attention and worth visiting. Everything was well taken care of with fresh juices changed every day. Also the rooms were clean and nice interior. A great retreat for a romantic outing.
