The hotel looks modern in terms of furnitures and accessories, but the linens and towels were stained and even the replaced ones didn't look that good. The bed is comfortable and also the nice sofa next to it, but the walls behind and in front are empty inside which brings to the conclusion that are made of wood. The food we ordered was good, I recommend the tonkatsu. The shower knob is fixed and a bit too short so if you are toller than 1.75cm you will have to hold it in your hand while taking a shower.

My self, my wife and son and mother in law stayed here for 5 nights, thankfully only 5. As soon as we checked in (4pm)one of our rooms was not made up or cleaned, so back down to reception, and they moved us to another room. 2nd day ants everywhere in the bathroom sink, them small red ants, must have been 1000 of them, easily washed down the sink but still.... 3rd day AC, making loud banging sounds at night because it gets hot at night, this sounded like it was going to fall off the wall, also water from the shower not draining properly and flooding the bathroom along with floor towels 🙄 4th day, no hot water for showering, told by maintenence to wait till tomorrow to fix it (lucky we could use the mother in laws room)!! 5th day still no hot water but as we were checking out next day, I didn't take a different room. All in all the location wasn't too bad, near a pub and massage place, snooker Hall. Breakfast very very poor, eggs, the silly hot dog sausages and the rest was rice and a couple Thai dishes.

Our usual stop over hotel in Nakhon is Hop Inn, which is always clean , efficient, and good value , but a little sterile. On looking around we stumbled on The Rich Hotel, which looked great from the pics and reviews and at B750 , seemed great value. I can happily report it is both good value and an excellent place to stay . It's big both in stature and room size. Even the hallways are extremely wide. The bed is comfy and AC pretty good. My only grumble would be that our room could use some maintenance as there was peeling paint and grout in places. A little attention would make this perfect. Finally, the breakfast was most excellent with a good egg station and a small but very tasty selection of Thai food. The soup in particular was wonderful.
